Grand Ledge All Events
Located in downtown Grand Ledge, this annual event occurs the first Saturday in May from 10am to 5pm. Featured activities include a Teddy Bear Tea and Maypole Dance especially for the youngsters, a High Tea with costume showing, a Victorian wedding re-enactment, kite flying, artisans and craftspeople, Civil War encampments and demonstrations and a moustache contest.
The first weekend in May, Grand Ledge celebrates Michigan artists, local culture, and rich Victorian heritage by inviting visitors to enjoy historical demonstrations and themed activities. Most events and activities are free of charge to the public, except riverboat and carriage rides and the Grand Victorian Ball.
Relay For Life is an overnight event created to salute and empower cancer survivors and to raise money to help the American Cancer Society save lives and help those who have been affected by cancer. Participating teams gather at Beagle Middle School and take turns walking or running laps.
Celebrate nature's glories and unmatched mid-Michigan good times. Pioneer demonstrations and fall related activities: blacksmithing, quilting, weaving,fur traders and Native American displays, petting zoo, candle dipping, black kettle caramel corn and bean soup made over open fires, vintage vehicles, airplane rides, riverboat rides, wagon rides, entertainment stage and food.
